strategies is underlined by the word “Park” (Parco)
• The choice of this brand summarizes the way to the sustainable
development that the cluster wants to follow

Science Park Trieste - Scientific Park
Innovation Network is an AREA project supported by the Friuli Venezia
Giulia Region that has established within the region a sound structure of
services to businesses, dedicated to transferring to them the expertise
and technology found in the world of research and to stimulating the setting
up of innovation projects.
The network structure is built around Competence Centres active in areas
of common interest, such as the environment, energy and productivity
efficiency, or specializing in the typical productive sectors of the Friuli
Venezia Giulia region, such as wood and furnishings, agro-industry and
ship-building and pleasure boating.
The Agro-industry Competence Centre has been created in connection
with the Cluster development Agency.
SALT Project – financed by Udine Provincial administration
This project had the purpose of developing an industrial plant for the
re-use of the solid and liquid salty waste made in ham seasoning
plants.
The main objective was to prevent their leakage into the public
sewer and to avoid sewer non-compliance with limits imposed by
law.
Moreover this project tried to find out a possibility for the re-use of
this materials in processes different from food. The results showed
the possibility of using them as de-icer for streets.
Voluntary Association “Carni Bovine di Qualità del
Parco Agro-alimentare di San Daniele”
The purpose of this association is to realize an integrated system
for the production and the distribution of beef meat from the San
Daniele cluster to fulfil the proposal of typical quality products.
The core of this project is to realize a short beef production chain
trough the establishment of a regulation to be shared among all the
stakeholders.
The objective is to improve the beef meat quality by the compliance
to a specific regulation such as a voluntary agreement among all
the actors involved from the farmers to the sellers.

Stazione Sperimentale per l'Industria
Conserve Alimentari – SSICA di PARMA
delle
• Stating of a collaboration with SSICA: this organisation is a public
institution for applied research, established in Parma in 1922
operating on a national scale under the supervision of the Ministry
of Economic Development, with the specific aim of promoting
technical and technological progress in the Italian fruit, vegetable,
meat and fish processing industry. Today SSICA is one of the
most important institutions of applied research in the food
preservation sector existing in Europe and in the world.
• This collaboration aims to create a point of contact about food
technologies in Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in order to increase
the competition of North-East enterprises.
Valorisation of ham wastes
• The main aim of this project is to develop an industrial process for
transforming and improving the value of food waste produced by
the San Daniele’s ham seasoning and cutting. Moreover this
action want to streamline the collection service of this waste under
the control of ASDI and of the Consortium.
• The process outlined leads to the production of oil and farine that
can be used for pet-food and it can be easily industrialised.
Salt project – 2nd stage
• This second stage of the project had the purpose of increasing
the diffusion of the industrial plant for the re-use of the solid and
liquid salty waste in a greater number of ham seasoning plants.
• This industrial plant is composed by an aspirator/extractor linked
trough pipes to a storage bin placed outside the seasoning plant.
The separation between solid and liquid waste is assured by a
cyclone.
Realisation of “Albergo Diffuso”
This project would like to propose a different approach to hosting
activities inside the Park trough the realisation of a structure called
“Albergo Diffuso”.
The purpose of ASDI is to help realising a management society
among the house owners.
This new form of hospitality goes in the direction of sustainable
development
Territorial Marketing
