High Quality Interiors
Spencer is an Italian company that, while fully respecting the
well established craftsmanship traditions, offers innovative solutions for the interiors supplying and fitting of cruise ships, luxury
yachts, as well as large tourism centres, hotels and commercial
facilities.
The turnkey solutions include ceilings and bulkheads framing
systems, insulations, anti vibrations systems, plumbing systems,
air conditioning, electrical systems, ceilings, walls and floors,
custom furniture, accessories and equipment, painting, decorations and curtaining.
Spencer provides to the shipbuilding industry, both for new
constructions and for the complete or partial renovations of
cruise ships and yachts, feasibility studies, planning and logistics,
technical and architectural drawings, supplies and assemblies, as
part of elaborate projects for public areas, cabins and stairs.
The company can be of support to ship-owners, shipyards and
architects for the most sophisticated projects with a variety of
layouts, installation methods, timing and pricing.
Spencer’s architects and engineers can develop and manage any
project from its overall concept design stage up to the smallest
supply detail requested, by providing consulting services, preliminary designs, as well as working drawings and construction
drawings.

History
real estate business and had the chance to finalize an important
project in Genoa with the building of n°22 apartments and n°40
boxes completed in 2008, and all sold.
Spencer is a relatively young company set up by few Ligurian
businessmen.
Specialized in interiors supplying and outfitting for cruise ships,
it has been established in Rome in 1996, but few years later has
been transferred to Genoa.
Since then Spencer has realized many projects both for new
construction and for partial or total ships renovation (see
attached reference list )in addition to few important civil interiors
supplying and fitting (see reference list as well)
In 2004 Spencer, with the experience matured so far in the years,
has entered the market of the interiors supplying and outfitting
of mega yachts.
In 2005 started up an important partnership with AZIMUT- BENETTI that ended up with the projecting and with the supplying
and outfitting on a turn-key basis of n°15 mega yachts from
75’ to 120’ (see reference list) in the AZIMUT-BENETTI yards in
Viareggio and Arbatax (2006-2009)
In 2006 Spencer started up as well a new branch to enter the

mainly working on behalf of Spencer in the various yards where
Spencer is involved in the different projects.
Dedication, attention to details, flexibility and maximum concentration to match the customer requirements have granted to
Spencer the opportunity to consolidate his position in the market
bringing the turn over from 2,5 millions € in 1999 to 13 millions
€ in 2008.
Today in this unstable and difficult market Spencer can count
on an order book for the immediate future of approximately 18
millions € .

Main Offices
Both Spencer Yard workers and Technical staff are very expert
people in the field with a lot of experience matured in the
various projects carried out in these years in different Yards, and
so Spencer can grant in this way an excellent performance to his
customers.
Since 2002 Spencer’s head office is in Genoa, at # 23, Via Cecchi,
located at only 200 meters from the International Exhibition
Center; here, in addition to the marketing and administration
offices, the facility houses the technical office where engineers
and architects design, plan, and coordinate all workshops and
yard activities.
Spencer is a dynamic company and in addition to the utilization
of the most up to date designing software has set up a small
team of people dedicated to the research of:

to be utilized in his specific market.

Workshops - Carpentries
The workshops are equipped with the most modern tools such
as CNC, laser cutting machines, water cutting machines, painting
booth and with the most up to date machineries. They have
in addition expertise in working with different materials with
different methodologies.
Notwithstanding the special agreement and the long-lasting
relationship with his partners, to ensure the quality of final product, Spencer Technical staff is regularly visiting the workshops
and carpentries to check the quality of the production.
Spencer during these years ,to maximize the quality of the
performances and driven by these 2 rules:
nobody can produce everything properly, and a good
company needs different suppliers to cover all type
of customer’s requests in terms of styles, volumes,
typologies, materials etc.
To avoid quality and delivery time problems and to reach the
maximum customer satisfaction it’s important to consider the
main suppliers as effective partners.
Has carefully chosen in the market few workshop
and carpentries with which now has special relationships
and agreements and in some cases
some indirect participations.

People - Staff
The on board workers (Shyft and Spencer technicians) are coordinated by Spencer engineers and architects who are also responsible of the relationships with the yards and final customers.
People permanently working in Spencer group are 45, but if necessary they can be increased up to 200, for big project, through
agreements with smaller companies or specialized craftsmen,
obviously always under the supervision of Spencer’s managers .
Technical office is made up by 9 persons
between architects and engineers, (in addition 2 or 3 young
students periodically attend stages
by an agreement with Genoa University of Architecture.)
Buyers department is made by 4 persons
Financial department is managed by 4 employees.
All workers on board attended safety courses and know exactly
which are the main risks inside yards and how to act in case of
danger.
