Uses of the Passato Prossimo:
Single, completed events in the past:
Sono andato al mare la settimana scorsa.
Numbered completed events in the past:
Sono andato al mare tre volte durante l’estate.
--even when a number is only implied:
Quante volte sei andato al mare durante l’estate?
