Call for Papers
In ESNII strategy toward GEN IV
demonstrators specific attention is, then,
given to the development of structural
materials and innovative fuels which are
needed to sustain high fast neutron fluxes
and high temperatures, as well as to
comply with innovative reactor coolants.
In this frame, MATTER - “ MATerials TEsting
and Rules “ Project intends to perform
research studies on the materials behavior
in GEN IV operational conditions and to
find out criteria for the correct use of these
materials in reactor applications.
A short abstract (max 400 words) is
requested for presentations.
The abstract, clearly indicating:
a) name, affiliation, address, phone and

The International Workshop on the “Key material properties for
MYRRHA and ASTRID” is organized in the frame of MATTER
Project, with the aim of outlining the most relevant key material
properties for both ASTRID and MYRRHA design, in terms of:
 Compatibility with liquid metal;
 Mechanical Properties;
 Fabrication and weldings;
 General needs for design and construction of ESNII reactors.
